Female bodybuilding

Female bodybuilding

In today’s world, not only are males interested in bodybuilding but females are also interested. Bodybuilding in the recent past was regarded as a total man’s sport but the world has changed. More and more females are taking bodybuilding seriously and over the last few years we have seen many female bodybuilding competitions as well. Female bodybuilding refers to the sport where the females add muscle mass in the most important parts of the body where the muscle mass is easily visible like the arms, legs, abs, shoulders, etc. The females build body mass by working hard on their techniques, performing special exercises in a gym or under a personal trainer as well as following a special protein rich diet as advised by the trainer. All these factors go a long way in making female bodybuilding successful.

It should be remembered by every female who want to pursue serious bodybuilding that muscle mass is not built in the body in a matter of few days. It may take several years for your body to build muscle mass naturally and also time has to be spent in sculpting the muscle mass to accentuate the muscle mass in the important regions of the body. Female bodybuilding, as mentioned before requires a lot of hard work and patience. There are many females who start bodybuilding with a bang, but soon give up after realizing that it requires a lot of hard work, determination and time to become a professional body builder. However there are many women who want to take up bodybuilding as a recreational activity pr to enhance their personality. There are a few of them who want to take up bodybuilding as a serious exercise for participating in competitions at local, national and international levels.

Unlike the standards of judging for men where bodybuilders are judged on the basis of the relative objective standards like symmetry and muscularity, the female bodybuilders are often judged on the basis of their femininity. Hence we see that the standards of judging female bodybuilding are constantly changing and the judges are mostly men. Many times the female bodybuilders are made fun of and are often condemned as they do not conform to traditional norms of feminine beauty. Female bodybuilding is not as famous as male bodybuilding and the average price money for female bodybuilding is just a quarter of what the men earn as prize money.
