Today not only men are interested in bodybuilding, but teens as well. Yes, its true that there are professional bodybuilding competitions taking place at local, national and international levels in many countries across the world. Teens as old as ten years start to pump up muscle and by the time they turn fifteen years of age, they are ready for junior bodybuilding competitions.

A teen who would like to step in the world of bodybuilding should know that it will require a lot of effort in the form of exercises and a strict diet to be followed every single day. There are certain techniques through which teen bodybuilding can be made successful. The first technique is stimulation. In the case of stimulation you demand your body to work out more often. Your body does not like to be stressed by muscle failure and hence it has to compensate by adding muscle to decrease the stress that is caused by strenuous activities the workout. Hence stimulation of the muscles to enable them to add on muscle mass and grow is very much necessary.

Rest is also needed at specific periods of time. Often it is seen that the bodybuilders in their quest to achieve muscle mass neglect rest. Hence we see that rest is the most overlooked factor in bodybuilding. You should know that growth takes place only when you take adequate rest. It is seen that the more rest your body gets, the more your body grows.

Also getting the proper amount if nutrition every day will work wonders for teen bodybuilding. As teen should eat at least 6 quality meals a day. The recommended ratio should be in the proportion of 40 Protein : 40 Carbohydrates : 20 Fats. The teen should also exercise at the gym regularly under the supervision of a gym instructor. The teen should ideally work out for a total of 4 days a week. For teen bodybuilding it is necessary to do a variety of exercises that are necessary for developing muscle mass in each and every part of the body. Also there should be a good variety in the set of exercises that you are doing. The important thing is to build muscle mass in the whole body. Hence you should be well versed with all the important exercises. Do not avoid injuries caused due to strenuous activities as avoiding these things can lead to further injury.
